›Stomp

Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas’ smash hit musical and dance extravaganza is at London’s West End, with a musical experience unbeaten by anything else. The hit show first appeared at the Bloomsbury Theatre in 1991 (it is now at the Vaudeville) after ten years of collaboration to bring the show to the stage. They initially met in 1981 when they were members of the street bands Pookiesnackenburger and Cliff Hangar. Since this time, Stomp has been played worldwide in over forty two different countries, five continents and over ten million people. It has come a long way since Pookiesnackenburger first had success, with the famous ‘bins’ advert for Heineken.

In Stomp, all of the show’s music is created by using everyday objects from around the house. By using these, the team create a percussive stage phenomenon that perfectly mixes dance, comedy and sound in a way no other show can match. With great choreography and imaginative sound arrangements, Stomp is sure to make you look at your household items in a whole new way, from the broom, to beer cans, steel-toed workboots, lights, matchboxes, wheel trims, bins, toilet plungers and keys.
